Charmander Waving Hello on Grass, a Pokémon Starter

Charmander stands upright on a small patch of grass with both arms stretched out to the sides, as if waving hello. The little lizard-like Pokémon has big glossy eyes, a wide open smile with a few small teeth showing, and a round belly outlined as a smooth oval shape. Its tail curves out behind it and ends in a flickering flame with lots of wavy tongues of fire. Three toes show on each foot, and a few short lines mark the grass at the bottom. The clean, bold outlines and large open areas make this one easy for younger kids to handle with chunky crayons. Try coloring the body orange, leaving the belly a pale yellow, then use red, orange, and yellow layered together on the tail flame so it looks like it is really glowing. This free printable also works well for talking about warm and cool colors.
