Cheeky Winking Spike, Cutie Mark Crew (MLP) Dragon
Coloring guide
One cheeky wink, a round head and a tiny smile make this Spike the dragon page a good pick for young colorers. He faces front with his arms stretched out to the sides, as if he's about to wave or ask for a hug. One large eye is open with shiny highlights, while the other is shut in a curved wink. Check out the pointed crest on his head, the layered fins on each side and the striped belly panel down his tummy. There's no background, which leaves the focus on Spike. Classic purple works for the body, and bright green suits the crest, fins and belly stripes. The printable PDF is free for kids and coloring fans of all ages. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- sky blue
- warm yellow
- golden yellow
- pale yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big round head, the belly, and both arms with sky blue, keeping the eye whites and shine spots white.
- 2Color the top crest and its small tip with warm yellow, then fill both side fins with golden yellow.
- 3Color the chest stripes: use pale yellow for the top band and the pointed tip at the bottom, golden yellow for the stripe just below the top band, and warm yellow for the stripes in the middle.
- 4Leave the big eye's white highlights and the lower white part of the eye untouched so they sparkle.
- 5Optional: add a slightly darker blue along the edges of the head and body for a little depth.
