Cheerful Pumpkin Face on a Big Green Leaf

Coloring guide
Here's a happy round pumpkin with a big open-mouthed smile, sitting on top of a large leaf. Its wide, shiny eyes have little white highlights, there are two small curved eyebrows, and you can see a tongue in the happy mouth. Smooth vertical ridges run down the sides, and a chunky stem on top ends in a long vine that loops into a spiral on the right. Below, a broad pointed leaf with clear veins spreads out to both sides. Shapes are big and lines are bold, so preschoolers and early elementary kids can color it without much trouble. Try orange for the pumpkin, green for the stem, vine and leaf, and leave the eye highlights white to keep the face lively. It also makes an easy fall classroom activity. - 3Color the open mouth in brick red, then fill the tongue at the bottom of the mouth with coral pink.
- 4Leave the eye whites and the small shine spots white so the eyes look bright and lively.
- 5Optional: Add a few light back-and-forth strokes in a slightly darker shade along the edges of the pumpkin and leaf to give them a bit of depth.
