From the front rows of a baseball stadium, kids look out over the diamond. Up close, children in baseball caps cheer with their arms in the air. One holds a small pennant flag, another waves a big foam finger, and a few clap with excited faces. Past them you'll find the infield, with home plate, batter's boxes, the pitcher's mound, bases and base lines, plus little tufts of grass here and there. A crowd fills the stands on both sides of a large scoreboard topped with a baseball in the background, and tall light towers, flags, trees and puffy clouds round things out. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big grass areas: fill the outfield, the infield grass and the lawn at the front of the stands with lime green, and use leaf green for the bushes and trees.
- 2Fill the infield dirt, the pitcher's mound and the area around home plate with dirt tan, leaving the white base and batter boxes uncolored.
- 3Color the stadium wall and the seats in royal blue, and fill the scoreboard frame and top in royal blue while the scoreboard panels get forest green, leaving the bushes white.
- 4Fill the fans' shirts: orange on the left fan, rose pink on the middle fan, golden yellow on the center fans, purple on the right fan, and chocolate brown for the hair.
- 5Add the fire red foam finger, the red cap, the peach hands, faces and flag, and the rose pink cap on the right; keep the clouds and the striped cap white.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading with a darker shade of each color along the edges of the seats and the grass to make the scene feel more lively.
