Pancake Flip Chef Cat, 44 Cats Kitchen Page
Coloring guide
A cheerful striped cat in a tall chef's hat and apron tosses a pancake from a frying pan, and little motion lines show it flipping through the air. On the counter in front are a big bowl of batter, a whisk and a tall stack of pancakes with a pat of butter and dripping syrup on top. Behind the cat there's a window with a fluffy bush outside, a potted plant on a shelf, a spatula and spoon hanging on hooks, and a cabinet with a drawer. Large shapes and clear outlines work for younger children, and the stripes, whiskers and syrup drips give older kids something to focus on. Golden yellow and light brown fit the pancakes, and a bright red apron makes the cat stand out. Print it free for a baking day or a breakfast-themed lesson. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big orange areas: color the cat's face, body, arms, ears and tail in light orange, leaving the eye whites, the nose area and the white hat free.
- 2Fill the apron, the chef hat band and the mixing bowl with light blue, then add sky blue to the bowl rim for depth.
- 3Color the pancakes in light gold, adding orange on the stacked edges and tan on the plate edge, and leave the plate background white.
- 4Use pale blue for the window sky and green for the bushes, then color the cabinet in cream and the windowsill in tan.
- 5Add red to the pan rim and whisk handle, charcoal gray to the pan surface, and gold to the butter pat on top of the pancakes.
- 6Optional: Finish with brown stripes on the tail and cat cheeks, and pink for the inner ears and nose, keeping the eye shine white.
