Guitar-Strumming Kitten with Music Notes (44 Cats)
Coloring guide
This fluffy kitten sits upright with a big open-mouthed smile, strumming an acoustic guitar against its round belly. One paw rests on the guitar body and the other grips the neck near the tuning pegs. Three music notes float around the cat, and a tuft of fur sticks up on its head. Look for the big shiny eyes, long whiskers, pointed ears, curled tail and chubby paws at the bottom. Bold lines and large shapes make it a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids who like staying inside the lines. Warm orange or gray fur would look nice with a rich brown guitar, and each music note can get its own bright color. Download the free PDF whenever you want a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the guitar body and the upper guitar top in golden yellow, leaving the sound hole for later.
- 2Fill the kitten's head, cheeks, front paw and tail with light orange, then add deep orange to the head tuft and the base of the tail.
- 3Tint the back paw, the right hand and the right haunch with cream white so they stand out softly against the orange.
- 4Color the inner ears, nose and tongue soft pink, then fill the sound hole dark brown and the guitar neck, headstock and bridge medium brown.
- 5Color the two top-left music notes sky blue, the two top-right notes bright red, and the lower note grass green.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along the edges of the guitar and the kitten's tail to give depth, and leave the eye whites, eye shines and right cheek bright white.
