Cherry-Topped Ice Cream Cone with a Happy Face
Coloring guide
This little scoop has a big open-mouth grin, round sparkly eyes and tiny eyebrows, and it sits in a waffle cone. On top are a swirl of soft whipped cream and a shiny cherry with a curved stem. A few drips of melted ice cream slide over the edge of the cone, which has a simple diamond grid. The page has no background, so it stays clean and uncluttered, and the bold outlines are easy for younger kids to follow. Chunky crayons and markers work well on the large shapes. Pink or mint for the scoop, creamy yellow for the swirl, red for the cherry and golden brown for the cone is one idea. It's a free printable that fits a hot day at home or a summer week in the classroom. Fans of Ice Cream coloring pages often like For Girls and For Kids as well.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- soft pink
- golden tan
- cherry red
- caramel orange
- bright pink
- dark brown
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the waffle cone: fill the whole cone with golden tan, then use caramel orange for the darker waffle squares near the top and edges.
- 2Color the big ice cream scoop with soft pink, leaving the eye whites and shine spots untouched.
- 3Fill the open smiling mouth with bright pink, and keep the little teeth area white if you want it to look bright.
- 4Leave the whipped cream topping white, since it is the white part of the drawing.
- 5Color the cherry with cherry red, then add dark brown to the stem so it stands out against the white background.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of a darker shade along one side of the scoop and cone for a bit of depth.
