Chihuahua Pup and Parrot in the Jungle, PAW Patrol Category
Coloring guide
A chihuahua puppy with big ears stands front and center, smiling wide, with round sparkly eyes and a pink tongue peeking out. Its little tail curls up behind. Up on the right, a parrot sits on a thick vine branch looking down at the pup, with feathered wings and a long tail hanging below. Vines with pointed leaves loop across the top, and large split-leaf monstera plants fill the bottom corners and sides. This page is filed under PAW Patrol but has no PAW Patrol characters, just a friendly dog and bird in a leafy jungle. Big open shapes work for young kids, and the leaf veins give older children detail to tackle. Warm tan and cream suit the puppy, and bright red, blue and yellow make the parrot stand out against the green. Grab the free printable PDF for your collection. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the dog's head, body, tail and ears with caramel tan, leaving the muzzle area for later.
- 2Color the big jungle leaves on both sides and at the bottom with forest green, then fill the smaller leaves and hanging leaves with lime green.
- 3Fill the inner parts of the ears and the tongue with coral pink, and color the dog's muzzle and the parrot's head with cream.
- 4Color the parrot's wings and tail with bright blue, golden yellow and tomato red, and use chocolate brown for the branch.
- 5Add small grass patches at the bottom with leaf green and keep the background areas white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes along the leaves and dog's fur for a little depth.
