A smiling child stands on a front porch path in a jack-o'-lantern mask topped with a little stem and leaves. Behind them are a paneled front door with a round knob and keyhole, a wall lantern on the left, siding on the walls, leafy bushes on both sides, and small grass tufts along the walkway and steps. Younger kids will like the large shapes, while older ones can spend time on the door and bushes. Orange for the mask and bucket and deep green for the stems and bushes make the pumpkins pop. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the house siding on both sides and the wall panels with pale yellow, leaving the lantern glass for later.
- 2Fill the hoodie, sleeves and the hoodie front with bright blue, and color the door and pants with steel blue.
- 3Use pumpkin orange for the pumpkin mask, the bucket and the nose, then add leaf green to the leaves and bushes and light green to the grass.
- 4Color the face, ears and hands with peach skin, the hair with chestnut brown, the sneakers with bright red, and the sidewalk and steps with light gray.
- 5Add details: golden yellow for the lantern glass and doorknob, dark gray for the lantern top, deep orange inside the bucket rim, and black for the bucket mouth. Keep the eye whites, shoe soles and toes white.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of a darker shade along the edges of the hoodie and pumpkin to give them a bit of depth.
