Big Decorated Bell with Doves and Children, Martin Luther King Jr. Day

A large decorated bell hangs from a wooden frame in the center of the page, and three doves with olive branches fly around it. Flowers, stars and leaf patterns run along the bell's bands, with a round clapper hanging at the bottom. Clusters of blossoms are tucked onto the wooden posts on both sides. Four smiling children stand in the grass below, looking up: a boy in a hooded sweatshirt, a long-haired girl with her hands clasped, a curly-haired child in a collared shirt, and a girl with a ponytail. Small bushes and grass tufts fill the background. The detail on the bell suits older kids with fine-tip markers, while the big flowers and doves are friendly to younger ones with crayons. Golden yellow for the bell, soft blue for the doves, and bright pinks and purples for the flowers look lovely. It's a free printable for a quiet Martin Luther King Jr. Day activity about peace and togetherness. This fits right in with our Martin Luther King Jr. Day coloring pages — see also Christmas and Halloween.
