Christmas Wreath of Overlapping Holly and Berry Trios

A round wreath made entirely of spiky holly leaves, with clusters of three round berries spaced evenly around the ring. The leaves overlap one another and have pointed, wavy edges, and each one has a center vein with smaller lines branching off. A few leaves stick out past the edge of the circle, which gives the outline a star-like shape. The middle of the wreath is left open and white, so there is plenty of empty space inside. Try coloring the leaves in several shades of green, from light to dark, so the overlapping pieces are easy to tell apart, then use red for the berry clusters. Kids can also count the berry groups around the ring, which makes a simple counting activity.
