Cocoa Break for Santa Claus by the Fireplace
Coloring guide
Leaning back in a big cushioned armchair, Santa smiles happily over a mug of hot cocoa topped with marshmallows. He wears a fur-trimmed hat with a pom-pom, a belt with a large buckle, fluffy cuffs and tall boots. A small round table with curved legs next to the chair holds a plate of chocolate chip cookies. Behind him, a brick fireplace glows with a crackling fire and stacked logs, and two stockings hang from the mantel, which is decorated with holly leaves and a big bow. This free printable has big shapes for little hands and smaller details like the bricks and cookies for older kids. Try layering yellow, orange and red for the flames, and dot the cookies with dark brown chips so they look freshly baked. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color Santa's suit first: fill the hat, jacket, sleeves, and red pants with santa red, leaving the white fur trims on the hat, sleeves, and legs empty.
- 2Fill the big armchair and the cocoa mug with leaf green, and the small side table, its stem, and the mantel bricks with wood brown.
- 3Use skin peach for Santa's face, nose, ears, and hands, and leave the big white beard and mustache uncolored.
- 4Color the belt and boots with charcoal black and dark gray, then add the golden yellow buckle, the cookies in caramel brown, and the plate left white.
- 5Optional: Add bright orange and golden yellow flames in the fireplace, dark brown logs, and light gray stone around the fireplace to finish the scene.
