Comet Streaking Past Stars in Night Sky

Comet Streaking Past Stars in Night Sky coloring page

Coloring guide

A large comet sweeps diagonally across the page from the top left toward a rounded tip at the lower right, with a thick curved outline forming its head. Several long straight lines of different lengths trail behind it to show the tail and the speed of its movement. The background is filled with four-pointed sparkle stars in a few sizes, plus lots of tiny dots and small open circles scattered around. There is plenty of open white space inside the tail, which makes it easy for little hands to color. Try blending yellow, orange, and light blue in the streaks so the tail seems to fade as it stretches away. Then use dark blue or purple for the sky and leave the stars bright. This printable page also works well for a short lesson on how comets travel through space.
