Coloring guide
A sleek concept motorcycle fills the page, drawn from the side with a swooping, angular body and a pointed nose. Both wheels are big open rings with no visible spokes or hubs, which gives the bike a high-tech feel. Between the wheels is a lot of small detail, including the engine block, round gauges or caps, linkage arms and tiny bolts. Above that are a long seat, layered fairings and a raised tail section. There's no rider, road or background, so your child can concentrate on the machine. Midnight blue and charcoal gray work for the body panels, with silver on the engine parts and bright red or electric green on the small inner panels. The free PDF prints at home and needs no sign-up. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the large body panels: color the front fairing, side fairing panel, tail fairing and tail tip in coral red, leaving the thin white highlight on the windscreen.
- 2Fill the upper body panels, tail cowl and front windscreen area with coral red as well, working around the small white edges.
- 3Color the wheels next: fill the front wheel and the rear wheel outer ring with dark gray, and fill the rear wheel inner ring with golden yellow.
- 4Paint the engine, frame bars, seat, rear suspension and fuel tank side in dark gray, then use medium gray for the spring and lower engine cover.
- 5Add light silver to the exhaust pipe, exhaust cylinder, footpeg and the small bolts and brackets, then finish with charcoal black on the air intake and mirror.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes along the lower edges of the body and wheels to give the motorcycle a little depth.
