Cozy Armchair Nap for Sleepy Puppy Dog Pals
Coloring guide
Two sleepy pups are curled up together in a comfy armchair. One rests its head and a paw over the other, and both have closed eyes and little smiles. A polka dot cushion sits on the left, a striped cushion on the right, and a heart-patterned blanket drapes over the front corner of the seat. Next to the pups lies a small bone with a striped middle, waiting for when they wake. The chair has a rounded back, plump armrests and short feet, so there are lots of areas to color. This free printable is a calm, cozy option for quiet time at home or at school. Soft golden yellow works for the fur, pink and red for the blanket hearts, and bright blue dots on the round cushion add some cheerful contrast. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big puppies: color both puppy heads and bodies with golden tan, leaving the closed eyes as simple curved lines.
- 2Fill the whole sofa and both armchair backs and armrests with teal blue, then color the sofa seat front in the same teal blue.
- 3Color the left polka dot pillow with bright yellow, then leave the round dots cream.
- 4Color the striped pillow on the right in sky blue and pale blue, alternating the stripes so it looks like it has soft bands.
- 5Use coral red for the blanket folded over the left side of the sofa, leaving the hearts and border cream.
- 6Finish with the bone in cream and chocolate brown for the legs of the sofa, and add the small mouth details in golden tan. Optional: add a little darker shade under the puppies with a slightly deeper golden tan.
