Cozy Christmas (Adult) Fireplace with Sleeping Tabby Kitten
Coloring guide
A tabby kitten is curled up asleep on a round scalloped rug, and it's the heart of this page. Its eyes are closed, its head rests on its paws, and its striped tail wraps around its body. A tall brick fireplace stands behind with a glowing fire, two stacked logs, and a small metal grate. Three stockings hang from the mantel, one with a snowflake, one with horizontal stripes, and one with hearts, and a garland of evergreen branches and pinecones runs along the top. Older kids and adults will enjoy the brick pattern and fine pine needles, while the big flames and the cat are easier for smaller hands. Oranges, reds, and yellows suit the fire, and soft grays and creams keep the cat looking snug in the glow. Print this free page for a fun afternoon activity. Looking for more? - 2Fill the rug's outer border with cream and its center with forest green.
- 3Color the bricks of the fireplace and mantel in terracotta and rust brown, and the hearth ledges in light gray.
- 4Fill the flames with golden yellow, the firebox back in dark brown with an amber patch at the top, and the fire grate in charcoal gray.
- 5Color the stockings: the left one in cherry red with a cream cuff, the middle one with forest green and cherry red stripes, and the right one with a cherry red toe, keeping the white parts white.
- 6Optional: add a darker shade of brown along the edges of the bricks and color the pine cones in dark brown for depth.
