Cracked Asteroid Streaking Through Starry Space

Cracked Asteroid Streaking Through Starry Space coloring page

Coloring guide

A large, lumpy asteroid fills the middle of the page, with long curved speed lines trailing off behind it to the upper right. The surface is covered in jagged cracks, and a small star-shaped chip is broken out near the center. The left edge has a bumpy cluster of oval craters and pits. A few small rocks drift around it, and a larger rock pokes in from the right edge. The background has plenty of tiny dots, little circles, and several four-pointed twinkling stars, plus one spiky starburst in the lower left corner. Try gray and brown crayons for the rock, then shade the craters darker so they look deeper. The speed lines could be left white or colored in orange and red to show heat. This free printable is a fun way to talk about the difference between asteroids, comets, and stars.
