Leaping Crested Ben 10 Alien in Swirling Wind
Coloring guide
A hooved, lizard-like alien with a long, swept-back crest and a mask-style face springs across the page in a low, crouching leap. One arm ends in a curved blade, and its segmented, ridged tail curls out behind. A large swoosh of motion lines circles the figure, which gives the whole picture a sense of speed. Leaves drift through the air, and you'll spot grassy tufts, a small rock and rolling ground below. Bold, clear outlines make it a good fit for kids who love action poses. Silver or deep blue could go on the crest and mask, green on the tail, and autumn oranges and yellows on the leaves. Print it out for an easy afternoon activity. - 1Fill the whole background and grass areas with grass green, leaving the white wind streaks and swirl lines unpainted.
- 2Color the alien's main body, arms and legs steel blue, including the shoulders and belly area.
- 3Paint the crest fins, tail tip, feet and claw tips golden yellow, and use dark gold for the inner stripe of the crest.
- 4Color the big rock and the middle of the tail with silver gray, and use light gray for the tail, face mask, foot balls and claws.
- 5Add the leaves: coral orange for the leaves on the left and bottom left, and golden yellow or bright gold for the fallen leaves on the ground.
- 6Optional: Add a little dark gray shadow under the crest and rock, and a pale tan touch on the knee for depth.
