Crocus Flowers Blooming Out of the Snow

Crocus Flowers Blooming Out of the Snow coloring page

Coloring guide

Three open crocus flowers rise on slim stems from a patch of speckled ground, with long, thin grass-like leaves fanning out behind them. The tallest bloom on the left has big rounded petals, and you can see the small stamens in the center. Two more flowers sit lower and to the right, one tilted sideways. A closed, pointed bud stands in the middle foreground, and a tiny sprout with a split bud sits alone in the bottom left corner. Dots across the bottom show the soil or snow. The petals are large and simple, so they work well for little hands. Try soft purples, yellows, and whites for the blooms, then pick a fresh green for the leaves. This page is also a nice companion to a spring lesson on how flowers grow from bulbs, since you can point out the bud, the open flowers, and the new sprout.
