Crossing the Parted Sea: Bible Coloring With Moses
Coloring guide
Down a rocky path strides an older man with a long beard and a head covering, holding a tall wooden staff as towering walls of water rise on both sides. This free Bible page shows the Israelites crossing the sea on dry ground. A line of families follows him: a smiling girl with a covered basket, a bearded man, a woman holding a bundle, and a small boy hugging a round loaf or bundle. More travelers trail off into the distance. Fish swim inside the water walls, and the ground has seaweed, rocks, a starfish and seashells, with clouds across the top of the sky. Layered blues and teals make good water walls, and bright orange and yellow fish will really stand out. Big robes plus tiny details mean crayon fans and older kids with fine markers can both have fun. Fans of Jesus / Bible coloring pages often like Matryoshka Dolls and Hawaiian as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sandy ground at the bottom and the pebbles, coloring them sandy gold, and keep the small shells and starfish white.
- 2Fill the parted sea walls and the water with sky blue and ocean blue, leaving the foamy cloud tops and wave crests white.
- 3Color Moses's robe cream on the inner parts and brick red and coral red on the outer cloak, with the headcloth and staff area left light.
- 4Paint the people in the background: lavender purple for the girl's dress and skirt, ocean blue for the woman's dress, and pale cream for the bread loaves.
- 5Color the rocks cool gray and add the orange fish with bright orange and tangerine, keeping the beard light gray.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker red shading along the folds of Moses's cloak to make the robe look fuller.
