Crouching Ben with the Omnitrix, Plus Gwen and Grandpa Max
Coloring guide
Ben Tennyson is front and center in this Ben 10 page. He crouches low, one arm lifted to show the Omnitrix on his wrist and the other fist clenched down by his side. His short-sleeved shirt has a stripe down the side, and he's wearing cargo pants with a big pocket and chunky sneakers. Behind him, Grandpa Max stands on the left with a smile and a loose shirt covered in flower shapes, while Gwen waits on the right in capri pants and flat shoes, her hair short. Nothing fills the background, so kids can concentrate on the characters. Green works well for the Omnitrix, and a sunny yellow or turquoise would suit Grandpa Max's flowery shirt. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the large skin areas: fill Ben's face, neck, arms and fists with peach, and the eyebrow and ear with the same tone.
- 2Color Ben's baggy pants and cargo pocket olive green, leaving the belt and the thin cuffs for later.
- 3Fill Ben's hair with dark brown, and color the shoes and shoe soles charcoal black, keeping the white shoe highlights and stripes unpainted.
- 4Paint Grandpa Max's shirt brick red, then add cream flower shapes on it; his pants go navy blue, his shoes warm brown, and his neck stays white.
- 5Color Gwen's hair bright orange, her top sky blue, her face peach, and her pants stay white along with her ear.
- 6Optional: Add a slightly darker shade of olive green to the shadowed side of Ben's pants and charcoal to the shadowed sleeve for extra depth.
