There's a lot going on in this busy action scene, and Deadpool is right in the middle of it. He crouches in a wide stance with a long katana across his body and a pistol in the other hand, and more swords are strapped to his back. A muscular soldier with a huge gun stands at the top left, a winged figure spreads its feathers at the top center, and a few women fighters peek in from both sides. On the right a snarling fighter in a pointy mask lurks, while a round creature in an X-marked mask sits at the bottom. Rocky rubble fills the background. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the sky blue sections at the top and sides, leaving the white highlights around the crowd untouched.
- 2Fill Deadpool's red suit next, covering his head, torso, arms, and legs with red, and keep the white highlights on his mask and suit untouched.
- 3Color the peach skin areas on the arms and hands, and the blue on the big figure at the bottom center and the blue shapes near the bottom edge.
- 4Add the golden yellow on the hair and costumes of the characters on the right and in the middle, then the brown straps and belts.
- 5Optional: Add charcoal gray and steel blue shadows in the darker areas, such as under the arms and around the guns.
- 6Finish with the small details: the orange skin, hot pink hair detail, dark red glove, and the light gray sword blade, leaving white where the highlights are.
