Curly Ponytail Genie Girl in a Bouncy Crouch, Shimmer and Shine
Coloring guide
A cheerful genie girl leans forward in a playful, bouncy crouch with her knees bent and one arm stretched down in front of her. Huge sparkly eyes and an open smile make her look ready to dance. The star of the page is her extremely long ponytail, which sweeps high above her head and finishes in a curl behind her. She wears a beaded chain headpiece with a teardrop gem on her forehead, a vest with puffy sleeves, a beaded belt, wrist cuffs, baggy harem pants and pointed shoes. With no background and bold, clean lines, it's easy for little hands to follow. Turquoise or purple on the pants and vest looks good, and gold or yellow on the beads and gem makes the jewelry stand out. Download it as a free PDF for a classroom project or weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the long ponytail, the curly tail, the top of the head and both side sections of hair with royal blue, leaving small white highlights.
- 2Fill the face, the left hand and the right hand with peach skin, keeping the eye whites and the tiny shine spots white.
- 3Use deep violet for the pants and the side of the torso, and medium orchid for the right sleeve and left shoulder sleeve.
- 4Add pale lavender to the belly top, the midriff, the hanging cloth and the left waist to bring out the outfit.
- 5Make the forehead gem aqua teal, the hair band and right ankle band soft gold, and the shoes, wrist bracelet and left ankle golden yellow.
- 6Optional: Add a slightly darker shade of each main color along one side of the hair and pants to give the drawing some depth.
