Cute Big Eyed Butterfly With Swirly Wings

A little butterfly with a round head and one huge shiny eye floats in the middle of the page. The eye has long lashes, a big black pupil with a white highlight, and a few rings around it. The butterfly has a small smiling mouth, and two curly antennae end in spirals on either side of its head. Its wings are decorated with swirls, ovals, and small circles, and the body below the head has a bumpy, segmented look with thin legs dangling down. The page has bold, clear outlines, so it works well for younger kids with crayons or chunky markers. Try giving each wing a different color scheme and filling the small ovals and dots with a contrasting shade. Keep the big eye dark in the middle and add color to the rings around it. This free printable also suits a quick lesson on symmetry and insects.
