Baby Dino Beside Bubble Letter D and a Volcano
Coloring guide
One arm leaning on a big, puffy D and the other hand on its hip, this baby dinosaur looks very pleased with itself. It has big sparkly eyes, a wide open grin, small spikes down its head and back, a striped belly, and round spots near the curled tail. A small volcano puffs a cloud of smoke behind it, with rolling hills farther back. Leafy ferns, grass tufts and a few rounded rocks fill the foreground. Thick, clean outlines keep things simple for small hands, and the roomy D is handy for alphabet practice while coloring. Bright green suits the dinosaur, warm oranges and reds the volcano, and a bold blue or purple the letter. Print or download it free, no sign-up needed. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big bubble letter D in tomato red, leaving the inside of the D white.
- 2Color the baby dino's head, body, tail and front arm in bright green, and fill the bush behind it with the same green.
- 3Fill the belly bands and the toes with pale yellow, then add the soft pink tongue.
- 4Color the ferns with lime green and forest green, using darker strokes for some leaves, and the volcano with chocolate brown.
- 5Add the orange spikes along the dino's back and head, the orange tail spots, and the tangerine lava at the top of the volcano. Color the rocks in light gray and keep the eye shines and small highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker green along one side of the body for a bit of depth.
