Cute Monkey in a Hat Playing Drum

A small monkey-like animal with big round eyes sits on the ground and taps a little drum. It wears a brimmed hat tilted to one side and a neckerchief tied at the front. One hand rests on top of the drum while the other is raised in the air, as if it just finished a beat. Its mouth is open in a happy smile, and a long curly tail loops across the bottom of the page. The drum has a triangle pattern around its side, which gives kids a nice spot for contrasting colors. Try coloring the triangles in alternating shades, then talk about rhythm and what sounds a drum makes. This printable page works well for music time at home or in class.
