Wide-Winged Owl in Witch Hat on Twisty Branch

A little owl wears a big witch hat with a buckle and sits on a curly, twisting tree branch. Its wings are stretched out to the sides, and it has large round eyes with long eyelashes and a tiny beak. Feathered scallops cover its belly. Behind the owl is a large full moon with crater circles, and three bats fly in the upper right. Puffy swirl clouds float on both sides, and small stars are scattered around the night sky. A good coloring idea is to make the moon pale yellow with soft gray craters, then pick a bold color for the hat so the owl stands out. Kids can also count the bats, stars, and clouds when they finish. This page is free to print and works well for a quiet Halloween activity at home or in the classroom.
