A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the full moon, the stars and the beak with golden yellow, and add pale yellow to the moon craters.
- 2Fill the owl's round face area with cream beige, keeping the big eye rings white and the pupils black.
- 3Color the wings, chest and tail feathers in chocolate brown, and the lower belly in light tan.
- 4Use amber orange and burnt orange for the eyebrow tufts, and caramel brown for the outer face edges.
- 5Color the branch and the leaves: chocolate brown for the branch and leaf green for the leaves, then add golden yellow to the owl's feet.
- 6Optional: add slightly darker shading along the wing edges and under the belly to make the owl look rounder. Leave the clouds and the sky white.
