Cute Smiling Spider Sitting in Its Web

A friendly cartoon spider sits right in the middle of a star-shaped web. It has a big round body, a wide smile, and two large oval eyes with little eyelashes on top. Eight curved legs bend out from its sides, with the top pair raised above its head. A thick line runs straight down through the center of the web, and thinner lines branch out to the pointed corners, with curved threads linking them. The web is easy to follow, and the spider has plenty of open space for color. Try a soft purple or orange for the body, then use a light gray or blue for the web so the spider stands out. This free page also works well for a quick lesson on how many legs a spider has, so kids can count all eight as they color each one.
