Pumpkin Perch for a Smiling Spider

Coloring guide
On top of a large, round pumpkin perches a little spider with big shiny eyes and an open smile, its front legs resting over the pumpkin's top. Stripes mark the spider's body, and its chunky, rounded legs spread out on both sides. The pumpkin has wide, easy-to-color sections, a curly vine with a leaf on the right and two more leaves tucked at the bottom beside small tufts of grass. A spiderweb hangs in the top right corner of the page. Big shapes make it great for young kids with crayons or chunky markers. Bright orange for the pumpkin, green for the leaves and vine, and purple or black stripes on the spider give a friendly Halloween look. Print it free for autumn lessons, fall parties or a quiet afternoon. If you enjoyed this Spider page, don't miss our Ghost and Bat coloring pages.

- 2Color the spider's head light gray, leaving the two big eye whites and the smile area white.
- 3Fill the spider's legs with charcoal gray, and paint the top two body stripes royal purple while the middle stripe stays light gray.
- 4Color the large right leaf and the curly vine in leafy green, then fill the bottom left leaf with golden yellow and the bottom right leaf with pumpkin orange.
- 5Add the small stem in chocolate brown and the open smile in soft pink, and keep the web and the background white.
- 6Optional: add light shading with a darker shade of each color along one side of the pumpkin and the spider's body to give it a little depth.
