Coloring guide
Two little genie friends with huge swirly ponytails stand facing each other on this cheerful page. The girl on the left is leaping with her arms up and hands flicked out. The one on the right tilts her head, holds her hands out at her sides and smiles back. They wear matching outfits: a beaded headband with a forehead gem, a small vest, puffy harem pants, curled-toe shoes and wrist cuffs. Nothing is drawn behind them, so there's lots of white space for kids to add their own scenery. The wide curved stripes in the ponytails are fun to fill in. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the left genie's hair and bun in sky blue and the right genie's hair and headscarf in hot pink, using long strokes that follow the curls and leaving the thin strand lines visible.
- 2Fill both faces, hands, and arms with peach, keeping the two eye whites white and adding a soft apricot tint to the right ear.
- 3Color the left genie's top and pants in teal with sage green cuffs at the bottom, and dress the right genie in soft lavender with a deep violet sash and medium purple sleeves.
- 4Add golden yellow to the left genie's headband and forehead gem, and use orchid pink for the right genie's shoes and pant cuffs, with coral on the small right forehead detail.
- 5Optional: add slightly darker shades of the same blue, pink, and purple along the edges of the hair and clothing to make the drawing look more dimensional. Leave the background white.
