Dancing Leprechaun Tipping His Hat Beneath a Rainbow (Rainbow & Pot of Gold (St. Patrick's))
Coloring guide
Here's a leprechaun kicking up his heels, tipping his tall buckled top hat with one hand and grinning through his beard. The hat has a shamrock on it, and he wears a long-tailed coat, buttoned vest, bow tie, striped socks and buckled shoes. A big rainbow arches behind him over round bushes, and the grassy hill is dotted with tufts of grass and four clover-style shamrocks. Open spaces and bold outlines make it easy for small hands, and the striped socks and bow tie give older kids a little more to do. Green for the coat and hat is a natural choice. Red, orange and yellow on the rainbow bands will help him stand out. It's a free printable for St. Patrick's Day at home or in the classroom. Add this to your Rainbow & Pot of Gold (St. Patrick's) coloring page collection, alongside The Grinch and Thanksgiving.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the rainbow: color the outer arc bright red, then orange, golden yellow, lime green and sky blue on the inside, repeating the bands on the left side and leaving the sky white.
- 2Fill the big coat, vest, pants and shorts with forest green, using lime green for the vest and grass green for the top hat and brim.
- 3Color the face and hands peach, the beard and hair orange, and the open mouth pink, leaving the teeth and the cuffs white.
- 4Color the striped socks with grass green, ivory and warm gray stripes, then fill the shoes with charcoal gray and the soles with brown.
- 5Add the lime green shamrocks, the bow tie in lime green, the hat band in dark green and the buckles in golden yellow.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of forest green on the coat folds to give the leprechaun a little depth.
