In this lively kitchen scene, a mother pig leaps across the floor with a big wooden spoon in one hand while her other arm reaches toward a covered pot on the stove. She has on a frilly scalloped apron with a pocket and a big bow at the back. Three little piglets crowd around her, clapping their hooves and smiling up. In the background are a range hood, an oven, a window with tied-back curtains and puffy clouds, and a table with a checkered tablecloth, a chair and a small vase of flowers. There's a lot to color here, from the large apron panels to tiny flower petals. Soft pink pigs and a bright red gingham tablecloth would be a nice start. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the pig and the three piglets in baby pink, including their ears, snouts and tiny hands, and leave the eye whites unpainted.
- 2Fill the apron, the range hood and the kitchen wall on the left in sky blue, and keep the apron frill, bow and strap white.
- 3Color the wooden floor and the chair and table legs in tan, then add the window curtains in golden yellow.
- 4Paint the cooking pot in brick red, the tablecloth stripes in coral red, and the pig's hoof in dark brown.
- 5Color the bushes outside the window in leaf green, the stove top in pale blue, and the oven door in light gray.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading under the piglets and the pig's body to make them pop.
