Shadowy Darkrai, a Legendary Pokémon Swooping Forward

A swirling, wind-swept Darkrai fills this page, drawn in clean black outlines on white. The Legendary Pokémon leans forward, one narrow eye peeking out under a long, sweeping head crest. Jagged teeth show, and one clawed hand reaches out in front of its body. Long pointed ribbons of shadowy mist stream off behind it toward the upper right, and spiky, ragged shapes trail below, which gives the figure a feeling of fast movement. There's no background scenery, so kids can put all their attention on the character. Lines are bold and the open shapes are easy to fill, but the spiky edges and pointed tips will suit kids who like careful coloring. For a dramatic look, try deep navy, purple and charcoal gray on the body and mist, then a bright red or icy blue for the eye. Print it at home for a screen-free activity.
