The top of the page is taken up by a huge round Death Star, with its trench running across the middle and the superlaser dish sitting in the upper left. Small panels, lines and dots cover the surface, so detail lovers have plenty to fill in. Down below, three TIE fighters fly in a loose group, each with a round cockpit and big hexagonal wing panels that are easier for younger kids. The black-and-white space background is dotted with small stars and a few wavy lines. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the large light gray areas on the Death Star, filling the big panels across the upper and lower halves of the sphere.
- 2Fill the darker steel gray sections, such as the central panels, the lower trench areas, and the wide bands between the panels.
- 3Color the big dish on the upper part of the sphere, leaving its center ring and small middle circle white so it looks like it has a shine.
- 4Add steel gray to the edges and the smaller panels around the top and right side of the sphere.
- 5Optional: Add a few soft shading lines in the gray areas to make the sphere look more rounded.
- 6Leave the starry background, the small stars, and the TIE fighter outlines white to keep the space scene bright.
