Decorating the Christmas Tree, Fluffy Monster Huggy Wuggy (Poppy Playtime) Page
Coloring guide
Next to a Christmas tree stands a shaggy, big-eyed monster with a wide toothy grin, reaching up to hang a round ornament on a branch. The tree has a star on top, bead garlands draped across it and several striped and patterned baubles. At the bottom are two wrapped presents with bows, a candy cane and an open box of more ornaments waiting their turn. Furry texture, rosy cheek spots and chunky shapes make it a good pick for kids who like to scribble and add detail. Bright blue or purple fur will stand out against a green tree, and red and gold suit the baubles and gifts. Print or download this free page for an afternoon activity. Looking for more? - sky blue
- forest green
- bright red
- golden yellow
- royal blue
- chocolate brown
- coral pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the fluffy monster's head, body, arms, and legs with sky blue, leaving the small white gaps between the legs untouched.
- 2Color the Christmas tree branches with forest green, and fill the tree trunk with chocolate brown.
- 3Color the star on top golden yellow, then add golden yellow to the beaded garland and the ornament at the bottom right.
- 4Add bright red to the round ornaments, the basket, and the gift ribbons and bows, and royal blue to the blue ornaments, the basket balls, and the blue gift box.
- 5Color the gift boxes forest green and the candy canes with bright red, keeping their white stripes white. Leave the ornament bands and garland beads white where the example shows them.
- 6Optional: Add coral pink to the monster's cheeks and a small bright red touch to the mouth for a friendly finish.
