A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Fill the face, forehead, ears, neck, and shoulders with peach skin, leaving the eye whites bright white.
2. 2Color all the long flowing hair with golden yellow, staying inside the lines and leaving thin white streaks along the strands for shine.
3. 3Fill the headband cloth and the dark shadows near the eye and hair with charcoal black.
4. 4Color the metal headband plate and its swirl emblem with steel gray, keeping the small highlights white.
5. 5Color the hair tie at the top of the head with brick red.
6. 6Optional: add a few light strokes of darker golden yellow in the shadowed hair underneath for depth.
