Diego Jumping with Arm Raised in the Air

Diego leaps across the page with one fist stretched high overhead and the other hand held out to the side, mouth open in a big happy smile. He wears a short-sleeved shirt with a round animal badge on the chest, a vest with a strap across his body, a backpack, shorts, and chunky lace-up boots with socks. His spiky hair is drawn with lots of pointy tufts. Around him you will find small birds in the sky, a heart in the top corner, flowers near the bottom edges, and groups of little stars and sparkles. A few short lines under his boots mark the ground. Try coloring the badge and backpack in bright, bold shades first, then use soft greens and pinks for the flowers so Diego stands out. It is also a nice page for talking about jumping and moving outdoors.
