Dino Monster Truck Beside a Smoking Volcano
Coloring guide
Right in the middle of the page sits a monster truck with a dinosaur face: googly eyes, a toothy smile, two small horns and a row of pointed spikes down its roof and back. It has huge treaded tires, springy suspension you can see, and a swirly flame-like pattern on the door. The truck is parked on a grassy field with tufts of grass and leafy ferns, and behind some rolling hills a volcano smokes in the distance. Big tires and spikes leave lots of room for bold coloring, while the tiny teeth and grass blades are good for careful practice. Go green on the body, orange on the spikes, and red-orange on the volcano for a playful prehistoric feel. The PDF is free to grab and print for kids and coloring fans of any age. This fits right in with our Monster Trucks coloring pages — see also Ambulance and Race Car.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the dinosaur head, the truck body and the big hills with lime green and light green, using bright lime on the top of the head and the brow for a fresh highlight.
- 2Paint the spiky back ridge, the front spikes and the volcano top in orange, so they pop against the green.
- 3Fill the windshield and the side window in sky blue, and the side mirror in leaf green, leaving the big round eyes white with their shine.
- 4Color the open mouth in coral pink and the springs under the truck in bright red and moss green, then add pale yellow touches on the side of the body.
- 5Fill all the tires with slate gray and charcoal, and color the wheel hubs in golden yellow, leaving the small center circles lighter.
- 6Optional: Add a little charcoal shading along the bottom of the tires to make them look chunky and rugged.
