This page is all about quiet closeness. A tall, slender doe and her small spotted fawn stand side by side in a woodland clearing. The doe has big upright ears, long eyelashes and a gentle smile, and the fawn tucks in next to her with bright eyes and a cheerful grin. Both have oval white spots along their backs and sides that are fun to fill in. Big tree trunks frame the scene, with leafy bushes, thin slanting rays of sunlight, grass tufts, small rocks and leafy sprigs along the ground. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big sky area behind the trees with sky blue, leaving the thin light streaks as white.
- 2Color the doe and fawn bodies, heads, and legs with warm orange, and the tree trunks with caramel brown.
- 3Add pale cream to the doe's and fawn's tails and the white-looking spots on their bodies, and coral pink inside the ears.
- 4Color the bushes and leaves with lime green, soft green, forest green, and deep green, and the grass tufts with lime green.
- 5Fill the hooves with chocolate brown, the nose with golden yellow, and the rock with light gray.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker orange or brown along the bellies and legs for a bit of shading.
