Sitting upright, a smiling puppy rests both front paws on top of a big striped ball, tongue peeking out and shiny eyes looking straight ahead. The floppy ears hang down on both sides, a little tuft of fur sticks up on its head, and the short tail curls behind. Two small tufts of grass poke up by the back paws in the bottom corners. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the dog's head and floppy ears light tan, using gentle strokes so the texture shows.
- 2Fill the beach ball: bright red on the left and bottom stripes, bright blue on the big center stripe, and golden yellow on the right stripe.
- 3Color the chest, both front paws, and the tail soft cream, leaving the eye whites and the small shine dots in the eyes white.
- 4Color the two back legs caramel orange so they stand out behind the ball.
- 5Color the nose chocolate brown and the tongue coral pink, then add the dark pupils and eyebrows last.
- 6Optional: add a little darker tan along the edges of the ears and head for a bit of shading.
