Dogs at the Beach: Puppy Beside a Sandcastle
Coloring guide
On a sunny beach, a smiling puppy with floppy ears, a round collar tag and its tongue out stands next to a sandcastle. The castle has a tall center tower, a little flag on a pole, an arched doorway and two small seashells on the front wall. In the sand around the puppy are a bucket and a toy shovel, a big striped beach ball, and one more scallop shell up front. Ocean waves roll in behind, under a sun with pointed rays and a few puffy clouds. Tiny specks dot the sand, so little hands get a bit of texture to color. Golden yellow works nicely for the puppy and sandy tan for the castle, with a red and blue beach ball for pop. The PDF is free to print and needs no sign-up. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the puppy's fur with golden tan, covering the head, body, tail and legs, and leave the eye whites, nose shine and tongue for later.
- 2Fill the sea with ocean blue and the sky clouds with pale sky blue, keeping the white foam along the shore white.
- 3Color the sandcastle, the sand patches and the bottom sand with sand yellow, then add a light brown door at the bottom of the castle.
- 4Paint the sun and the dog tag golden yellow, and color the beach ball with bright red, teal and violet sections while leaving its white stripe white.
- 5Add bright red to the bucket, the castle flag and the collar, then color the shovel with ocean blue and the shells with lavender purple.
- 6Optional: add a soft pink tongue and a little darker golden tan along the dog's shadowed side for depth.
