Dora and Boots Playing in the Flower Meadow

Dora kneels in the grass with one hand stretched out flat, smiling with her mouth open as she looks at her monkey friend Boots. Boots crouches beside her on all fours with a big grin and a long tail that curls up high behind him. Dora has her bob haircut with straight bangs, a bracelet on her wrist, and a backpack on her back. A row of bushy grass runs along the bottom with four small daisy-like flowers. Above them, a butterfly with heart-shaped patterns on its wings flutters near a large cloud-like outline. In the distance, a winding path climbs a small hill with bushes and rolling land behind it. Try coloring the butterfly wings in two or three bright shades, then ask kids to count the flowers and pick matching colors for the petals. The wide background also gives younger children plenty of room for big, easy strokes.
