Coloring guide

Eight ants circle the center of this round mandala, each one sitting or leaning in a wedge-shaped section with a dotted, textured edge. Several ants hold what looks like a small violin or fiddle, while others rest an arm out in a relaxed wave. They have big round heads, antennae, striped bodies and long curved tails. Between the wedges, large veined leaves meet at the middle and form a cross-like star. Behind the ants are oval shapes with small seed-like dots, which look a lot like strawberries. A thin circle frames the whole design. Try coloring the leaves in a few different greens and the berries in reds, then give each ant its own shade. It also works well as a symmetry lesson, since kids can count the matching ants and spot how each one is rotated around the center.
