Waving Ranger at the Colm National Park Gate

A family drives a big older car up to the entrance booth of a national park, and the ranger leans out of the window to wave at them. The sign beside the booth reads COLM NATIONAL PARK in block letters. Inside the car, a woman holds a small ticket or pass, a boy sits in the middle, and a man grips the steering wheel while someone in the back seat raises a hand in a wave. The license plate says 10701. Behind the booth, tall pine trees stand in front of a rolling hill and a rocky, pointed mountain, with a few birds in the sky. Kids could color the ranger's hat and uniform in classic park colors, then pick a bright color for the car. It also works well for a talk about what to pack for a summer road trip or a day in a park. The free printable page has plenty of open space on the mountain and hills for shading.
