Ice Cream Cone With Three Scoops and a Cherry, a Summer Treat
Coloring guide
Three big scoops are stacked on a waffle cone here, two side by side at the bottom and one on top, with a single cherry and its curly stem perched at the peak. Rounded sprinkles in different sizes and angles cover every scoop, so there are lots of tiny spaces to fill in. Wavy drips of melted ice cream run over the rim of the cone, which has a diamond-shaped waffle grid. The lines are bold and clean, so crayons, markers or colored pencils all work well. You could do pink, mint green and chocolate brown for the scoops, a bright red cherry, and a different color for each sprinkle. Download the free PDF and print a few extra copies, since this one tends to get asked for again. This page is part of our Summer coloring pages collection — check out Fall and Back to School too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- vanilla cream
- strawberry pink
- chocolate brown
- golden yellow
- caramel brown
- cherry red
- peach
- amber orange
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the waffle cone: fill most of the diamond squares with golden yellow, and color a few of the squares near the bottom and the edges with amber orange for a toasted look.
- 2Color the top scoop strawberry pink, the left scoop chocolate brown, and the right scoop vanilla cream, leaving the sprinkles white.
- 3Fill the cherry on top with cherry red, then add the curvy stem in the same red if you like.
- 4Color the caramel drips and the melty edge under the left scoop with caramel brown, and fill the peach gap between the scoops with peach.
- 5Finish the sprinkles so they stay white, and add a tiny highlight on the cherry by leaving a small spot uncolored.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra caramel brown along the edges of the waffle squares to make the cone look more crisp.
