Family Hauling a Christmas Tree on a Sled
Coloring guide
Four bundled-up family members are hauling a freshly cut evergreen on a wooden sled. A boy at the front pulls the sled by its rope and smiles as he walks. A long-haired girl walks alongside, while a man and a woman follow behind with a hand on the tree. Everybody wears a knit pom-pom hat and a fringed scarf. The cut end of the trunk sticks out at the back of the sled. Snowy mounds, footprints and a few snow-covered pine trees fill the background. Red and green stripes would suit the hats and scarves, and a deep green tree will stand out nicely against the white snow. Print this free page for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the man's jacket, the boy's jacket and the woman's coat in sky blue or cherry red as shown, leaving the white snow on the trees untouched.
- 2Fill the big tree and the tree needles with leaf green and forest green, then color the left and right pine trees in forest green.
- 3Color the girl's coat and trousers in hot pink and sky blue, and the sled wood in chestnut brown with ice blue on the sled base.
- 4Paint the faces and hands in peach beige, leaving the eye whites white, and color the hats, scarves and gloves in navy blue, cherry red, golden yellow or blush pink.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker shade under the scarves and jackets for depth, and leave the snow patches and background white for a crisp winter look.
