Family of Penguins Strolling Past Icy Mountains

Coloring guide
Two big penguins and one little chick walk side by side across the ice, with the chick in the middle between the grown-ups. All three have their beaks open as though they're chatting, and their flippers swing as they waddle. Behind them rise two pointed snowy mountains, and there's calm water with a couple of floating ice chunks. Three snowflakes of different sizes hang in the sky, and cracked ice blocks line the bottom edge. The big outlines and open spaces are comfortable for small hands. Soft grey and black work for the penguins, pale yellow or orange for beaks and feet, and icy blues and lavender for the water, mountains and snowflakes. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the mountains, the floating ice chunks and the bottom ice ledges with sky blue, leaving the snowflakes white.
- 2Fill the water behind the penguins with bright blue, leaving the small ice floe white.
- 3Color the backs, heads, flippers and legs of the two big penguins with charcoal gray, keeping their bellies and faces white.
- 4Color the baby penguin's body in light gray, then its wing and lower part with medium gray.
- 5Color all the beaks and feet orange, and keep the baby penguin's cheek and the snow patches white.
- 6Optional: add a few pale blue strokes on the snowflake in the middle and on the mountain edges for a softer, icy look.
