Family Road Trip Car with Bike and Suitcases on the Roof
Coloring guide
A family of four, all smiling, heads down the road in a minivan with a bicycle and two suitcases strapped to the roof rack. A boy waves from the back window and a girl grins next to him, while mom and dad sit in front and dad holds the steering wheel. Tall pine trees, a leafy bare-branched tree and round bushes fill the background, and grass tufts and dashed road lines run along the bottom. Big wheels, headlights, a grille and all that luggage leave lots of room for bold color. Sky blue or red could be fun for the minivan, with soft greens on the trees and brown suitcases. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by coloring the whole car body, hood and doors in sky blue, leaving the license plate white.
- 2Color the red suitcases in red and the blue suitcase in deep blue, then fill the green suitcases with bright green.
- 3Color the right-hand tree and bushes in lime green, and the two pine trees in forest green, leaving the tree branches white.
- 4Fill the faces and hands with peach skin, the girl's hair in golden yellow, the woman's hair in burnt orange, and the boys' and man's hair in brown.
- 5Add clothing: bright red for the boy's shirt, hot pink for the woman's top, lilac for the girl's shirt, and lime green for the driver's sleeves.
- 6Finish with the wheels in charcoal gray, the wheel hubs in light gray, and the bike frame left white. Optional: add a little darker shading under the car and on the tires for depth.
