Farmer Boy on a Tractor in the Crop Field
Coloring guide
Rolling over rows of leafy plants, this tractor has big round eyes and a wide smile, and a young driver in a baseball cap grins from the cab with his hands on the wheel. Hills roll across the back of the page with a little barn and a silo far off. The sky holds fluffy clouds and a sun with long rays, and small grass tufts dot the ground. Chunky tire treads and a tall exhaust pipe leave lots of spots to color. Red or green works nicely for the tractor, soft greens for the crop leaves and a warm yellow for the sun. Preschoolers will like the big shapes, and older kids can spend time on the barn and fields. It's a free printable. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big red parts: fill the tractor body, hood, cab roof and barn with tomato red, and the back fender with cherry red.
- 2Color the grass, field stripes and bushes with lime green and forest green, then fill the soil rows with soil brown.
- 3Paint the crop plants in leaf green, leaving the leaf tips and veins white so they look fresh.
- 4Fill the tires with charcoal black, the wheel hubs and rims with golden yellow, and the headlights and silo with light gray and medium gray.
- 5Color the driver's cap royal blue, his shirt golden yellow, his face and hands peach skin, and the cab windows sky blue, keeping the eye whites white.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of darker gray along the tire treads and the grille bars to give the tractor a little depth.
